Axy-stock

Firstly if you have used my stock, thank you and please please link back to me if you can  and show me your work I love seeing the work you guys produce, it's part of the reason I post my photos up here, as well as making it easier for me to find them when I want them for my own work. I don't really consider myself a photographer I just like going click at pretty things or things I want to use in my projects. The only thing I ask is you have a quick look at my rules.

Stock Rules
They haven't changed much someone pointed out a mistake to me and I am correcting it, I have also added one extra rule to stop something I am not happy about. This new rule is in effect from the 31st May 2010. Also added in a bit about website layouts so it's clearer

All my photos, (unless otherwise marked in the description section) are under the Creative Commons Attribution License found [Here]

Things You are Allowed to do with my stock

1. Use it as a reference for traditional artwork
2. Use it in Photomanipulation
4. Use it to create a Website Layout.
3. Use it to create artwork which is sold commercially (unless otherwise marked in the image description in which case you need to ask me first email = axcelia [at] gmail.com)

Things You are NOT allowed to do with my stock

Don't just change the colours of my stock be creative merge it into something else, use it as a background etc...
No redistrubution of my stock this is considered to be stealing. Redistribution is where you claim that the stock photograph is yours and pass it on to others.
Don't use my stock to make stock. (this is in effect from 31st May 2010 anything posted before this date I will ignore as you weren't violating my rules)

Please link back to me so others can find me and so I can find your work and have a look if you don't let me know

Things I would like you to do if you use my stock

Please show me your finished pieces, as I love to see all your art.

15/08/10 I will be correcting the titles of a few photos I named wrong including the cocoon ones (which was in fact a rather mauled may beetle also known as a cockchafer).
30/05/10 Re-enactment photos coming soon. I have adjusted my rules slightly as I had seen a couple of my photos re-cropped and posted back up as stock which I do not like as it's fairly close to re-distribution hence the new rule which is in effect from the 31st of May 2010.

08/10/09 I have added a heck of a lot of photos recently I hope they are of use to someone out there and I'm looking forward to seeing what people do with some of the Mont Saint Michel shots . Enjoy

18/12/08 Slowly working my way through a backlog of photos but I'm getting bored now so stopping tonight at the Ishtar Gate.  I've got some more roman/ greek related stock which I will upload tommorow then I'm onto the zoo photographs which I have tons of >_< anyway Merry CHristmas and a happy new year

16/04/08 Well camera seems to be working again although it eats through batteries like nothing else XD. I'm considering getting a new one and selling my current one on although I'm going to make sure it's still working before I do that. It's a good wee camera but I'm beginning to feel I'd like something with a few more options to fiddle around with to experiment with. Anyways we shall see I need the money first .

27/10/07 Ok, after much debating and looking at other accounts I have decieded to allow my stock to be used for commercial artwork as well, however please note the one condition. I will be annoyed at people who ignore my condition because some of these photographs did actually take effort to take. I hope you all enjoy and benifit from this change

I have a large amount of photos which aren't good enough for my own gallery or I don't want them cluttering it up but might be useful to others as reference photos or for photomanipulation.

I'm not a professional photographer and don't consider myself as one. I'm only aiming to give something back to the community by providing photographs which someone else might find useful as photomanipulation or as reference photographs. Some of my photographs might not be quite sharp enough for photomanip but are still useful for reference photographs which is why I still added them.

If you are using my stock as a reference* for your painting, drawing or sculpture and NOT for photomanipulation I automatically waive the conditions stated in the license, however I would appreciate a link back so others can find my stock. I would also appreciate a link to your finished piece as I always like seeing what people have done with the photos I provide.

If you wish to use your finished piece for commercial purposes then all you have to do is  either email me at axcelia [at] gmail.com or send me a note at my main account :nameaxcelia: with a link to your finished piece. I will say yes so long as you've actually done something other than just change the colours, but please actually ask me first.

* Reference in this case means looking at the photo and drawing or painting from scratch based on the photo. It does not mean copying and pasting the image into your work or tracing

11/10/07 Some Photographs of Berlin, there will be more coming however I'm waiting for BT to get their backsides and get my internet sorted... so far they've delayed me by 2 weeks for the phone line and now by about 3 weeks for the actual internet grrrr. Also my camera is broken, so it will only be backlogged photos appearing or those taken with a borrowed camera. 17/07/07 Updated my terms and rules for stock usage in light of the changes made to DA with the Creative Commons licenses being shown at the bottom of all work. I'd like to automatically say yes to commercial use however I'm afraid that some people would misuse some of my better photographs which I have other uses for and only posted up because they presented an intresting subject, therefore you will have to email me or note my main account but I check my emails more often just so you know. 10/04/07 Added an A-Z in my journal axy-stock.deviantart.com/journ… 09/04/07 More stock photos added mainly related to kayaking I hope they prove useful to people. It's really only for fellow terrougians but if you are one go ahead and check it out. 28/04/06 About time I updated, neways I'm adding some more stock up now I've got hold of my second disc. I look forward to seeing the artwork it's used in. I've added a brown butterfly, a moth (at least I think it's a common white wave moth), Mr Toad and I'm just completing the Garden Snail uploads.

• You must link me back if you use my stock for photomanipulation
• You must note me showing me your final piece if you use my stock for photomanipulation (please note me via my main account as I've gotten bad at checking this one )
• If you use my stock as a reference photo I would appreciate a link back but it is not necessary
• If you use my stock as a reference photo I would appreciate seeing the finished work as I'm always intressted in how my stock has been used but it is not necessary.
• If you want to sell your work as a print on DA and it is a photomanipulation you have to ask my permission first, in the vast majority of cases I will say yes, so far I've never said no.
  
  • If you want to use your work outside of DA and have used my stock then note me for permission (unless you used it as a reference photo in which case go ahead) I will in most cases let you but ask me first to make sure as I'd like to know before I find it randomly on the internet...
  
  
  • If you've only used it as a reference and not the photograph itself then you do not need to ask my permission but I still would love to see your work
